How early we need to plan for our career?
We often heard that " If we fail to plan, we are planning to fail" and how much that really get into our life when it comes into dealing with our personal future.
Personally, I had only started to think seriously about my career at the age of about 18 years old. Just before I sit for my last big exam in school until I entered the pre-U program. It was not immediate but I started to realize where I wanted to head for my future as I get more involved with my new friends and life at the pre-U level.
Prior to that, it was all about following what were told to me since I was a small kid until I went to a boarding school at the age of 13 years old until I finished my secondary level of education.
Working as a doctor, lawyer, engineer, teacher, soldier and even a factory operator were the types job that came into my hear and mind in the early years of my life.
All that really mixed up and the best way for me in that period was just follow what has been advised to you especially by our parent. My father really wanted me to become a doctor and what I did was exactly as he wished, study hard to become a doctor until I realized at a point, my heart told me to consider other options.
I am not going to elaborate further on the above because to start this blog, I would like to share more on how I important is to plan our career a the earliest possible and why is that?
NORMALLY WE HAVE TWO CHOICES...
To follow or
to take charge or control on where we are heading
and unfortunately neither the two choices are certain or risk-free
If we choose to follow, we will just see what may come and we take it from there and if we take charge, we will work something out to make things we want to come our way.
So, let us share our thoughts from as many as possible angles about career here. It can be anything and successful or unsuccessful is does not matter when we share experiences because there is always something we can learn.
